Fair Taxes Monopoly Reform and a Ten Year Rebuilding Plan
This book brings the national rebuilding program together with a proposed system of fair taxation and stronger democratic control over concentrated corporate power. The authors propose a 28 percent rate on corporate profits and investment income, 33 percent on earnings above $500,000, 22 percent below $100,000, and 15 percent at $50,000 or less, subject to precise legislative definitions and tax brackets.
The chapters call for stronger antitrust enforcement, merger review, competitive procurement, public audits, whistleblower protection, penalties for fraud and price fixing, and fair investment in rural, tribal, territorial, low-income, and historically excluded communities.
A ten-year rebuilding program should begin with a public inventory and urgent repairs, expand construction and workforce capacity, and finish with permanent maintenance and modernization. Annual goals, public dashboards, independent audits, civil-rights review, and measurable outcomes would allow taxpayers to see what was promised and what was delivered.
