Etiolated Resilience
My palate awakens my antics, unbound,
Intrigues time travel itself, profound,
Within my fiefdom, sacrosanct and vast,
A world subservient to my will, steadfast.
Those halcyon frenzies,
were my skotomorphogenesis
an indelible sculpture wrought by osmosis.
By self-neuropruning, we persevere,
still vigorously living, year to year
facing it with vim, without veneer
every day ensconced in sunbeam, austere—yet sincere.
