Red Medicine

Every kid knows the rhyme about the Hat Man, who visits sick children taking the red medicine. When a fever puts nine-year-old Owen Miller on the red medicine, he sees the Hat Man in his doorway, and each night the figure comes closer. His sister teaches him the rules for surviving, while their mother insists it's all in his head. But the medicine didn't bring the Hat Man. It only lets Owen see him.
