The ones who wouldn’t let her go

The Ones Who Wouldn’t Let Her Go
A Supernatural Horror Story by Bairbre-Terese Williams
Death was supposed to be the end. But for Eleanor, it is only the beginning of something far more terrifying.
When Eleanor dies unexpectedly, she discovers that crossing into the afterlife is not as simple as letting go. Her grieving daughter cannot bear to lose her, and every whispered plea, every desperate attempt to make contact, binds Eleanor more tightly to the world of the living.
Trapped between two worlds, Eleanor encounters restless spirits, each imprisoned by love, guilt, regret or unfinished grief. A drowned boy whose mother refuses to release him. A bride who has forgotten the husband she awaits. A soldier haunted by a terrible memory. And something ancient, hungry and inhuman that feeds upon the sorrow of those left behind.
As the boundary between life and death begins to unravel, Eleanor discovers a horrifying truth: not every spirit wants to cross over, and not every voice from beyond the grave belongs to someone we love.
To save her daughter, Eleanor must find the courage to leave her behind.
But when the dead finally depart, what remains in the darkness?
An atmospheric tale of grief, love and the terrifying consequences of refusing to let go.
