Zavier Freeman should be focused on one impossible truth: he has force field powers.

An ordinary life turns extraordinary when he discovers an ability he cannot explain, control, or fully understand. Force fields. Protection. Power. A chance to become something greater than himself.

But Zavier’s new abilities arrive at the worst possible time.

Something darker is beginning to surface inside the life he thought he knew. A creature is lurking in Salt Lake City, and Zavier may be the only one capable of dealing with it. But the reason behind the creature’s existence carries a devastating weight, one that threatens to fall heavily on Zavier and everyone he loves.

As Zavier struggles to understand what his powers mean, he is pulled into a battle far more personal than any fight against a villain. He must confront betrayal, guilt, trauma, and the painful truth that being a hero is not only about stopping danger. It is about becoming a safe place when someone’s world falls apart.

The creature’s presence forces Zavier to face what protection really means when the people he loves are caught in the fallout of something born from pain. Power may help him shield others from danger, but it cannot undo betrayal. It cannot erase guilt. And it cannot protect everyone from the consequences of the truth.

Before he becomes the hero known as Z-Force, Zavier Freeman must learn what it means to stand beside the people he loves during the hardest moment of their lives. He must learn the difference between fighting for someone and truly being there for them. He must decide what kind of man, loved one, and hero he is going to become when the truth finally breaks open.
