My Story
My Story
What am I doing with my life? I ask myself this question, and I have no answer.
This book represents the final chapter in a long creative period. It tells the story of my creative journey, and the end of that journey, using ranch salad dressing and Soviet submarines as metaphors. This story is practically autobiographical, especially the part with the crazed cultists riding on ostriches.
My favorite part, though, is the giant wall of Kirk Cameron movie references which the reader will encounter towards the end of the book.
What am I doing with my life?
I don't know. Was it worth it? I don't know! If one person reads one of my stories and enjoys it, I will be satisfied.

"Time feels thicker here, or maybe thinner; I can't tell which. I hear the faint echo of footsteps I didn't take, words said in a half-remembered dream. My hands rest on the table, fingertips tracing invisible lines, and I feel the pull of a thousand small beginnings, all of them waiting quietly for someone to notice."

In Progress
In Progress
I've been sitting here working on things basically all day, drinking my coffee. A smoky scent hit me in a moment of hesitancy - It reminded me of my father. I was drinking the coffee out of an old mug of his that I have held tight for over 20 years. I know he's here with me, guiding me, giving me courage to share my writing.
