Plans Ahead...
I hope that all of you folks have had a great Halloween, and of course, we all know what Halloween means-the holidays are near! Well, we shall get to that in a few moments, but first and foremost of all, I would like to share with you how I have celebrated Halloween in my childhood...
When I was a child, I simply could not wait until Halloween, a day when I could dress up in a costume and watch all of the adults wear their costumes, too. And then, when night came, I would go out in my costume and go trick-or-treating and have my treat bag filled with all the candy I could devour! Boy, Halloween was so much fun for me as a kid. (Have you had your own childhood Halloween memories growing up, hmm?)
Anyway, I have grown older; I'm in my 50s now, and I am WAY too old for trick-or-treating! I would dress up on occasion when I was still in my 40s, but I have not done so since then, and I still enjoy candy every now and then. When I look at Halloween now, I feel that it is just a holiday for children, and that I do not go out at night much anymore, even though adults still do it.
But let's stop talking about Halloween, because it is all over for another year; let's change the subject and talk about the upcoming holiday season: Are you looking for the perfect gift for that certain eReader in your life? How about introducing them to the Written app? This app is a reader's paradise, with more wonderful reads than you can imagine! Introducing the Written app to the eReader in your life is a wonderful gift in itself, and the recipient can download it on the Google Play app!
The Written app has thousands upon thousands of good reads to enjoy, and while you are at it, introduce them to my newest first release, the second edition of "Rainbow's End", a story about finding family and love again after a sudden loss; it is the story of Joe, a widowed father whose grief and painful childhood have made him harsh and joyless toward his children, Mike and Cindy. After their mother, Sheila, dies in a car accident, Joe begins stripping away the simple pleasures of childhood—cartoons, toys, favorite foods, and play—until a magical young caretaker named Flashy Jones arrives and brings wonder back into the children’s lives. Through undersea adventures, a magic carpet ride, and playful moments, Flashy helps Mike and Cindy remember happiness, but Joe’s anger leads him to dismiss her.
Heartbroken and afraid of another strict caretaker, Mike and Cindy run away to find Flashy. She reappears and takes them to Rainbow’s End, a magical place in the woods that leads them to Rebecca, a grieving woman who became a hermit after losing her husband and daughter. Meanwhile, Joe realizes that his own pain does not excuse the way he has treated his children and begins searching for them. And then, a kind of danger would bring everyone together...
Will this danger ultimately make Joe change his mind and finally learn what family should REALLY be about? Well, the only way to find out is to read this heartwarming tale, "Rainbow's End", now available as a second edition on the Written app! In fact, you can check it out at this link right here: https://written.app/book/5542788c-6955-4cff-ad61-8d68e23322b5
And now, before I go, I have more news to share with you: I plan to publish more books on the Written app in the not-too-distant future, so I very well suggest that you Written readers keep an eye out for what's to come! In the meantime, I shall write to you all again soon for more news and stuff! In the meantime, please take care of yourselves, with love-JW
