If it can be imagined, it can be written. Instead of drawing inspiration from the usual sources, ie; Movies, and other published works, I like to draw my inspiration from my imagination. It doesn't always work of course, as the imagination is far to complexed to deliver coherent stories, but it delivers flashes, which can be developed. Hopefully it can also help provide a thread of intrigue, mystery, emotion, and a sense that you know the characters, and miss them a little when the book has been finished.
