At the base of the Appalachian Mountains along Swimmers Cove Creek in Northeastern Pennsylvania sits the small town of Oasis. The old historic town runs the valley from the north end where the college and the seminary are to the south end where the Zinc Company and Lake Oasis spreads out. The people of the north end live in luxurious homes while the south end live primarily in tiny dwellings. The north and south are separated by a beautiful park and of course money, privilege and fame. It is in Oasis that the military decides to experiment with a new strain of marijuana meant to sedate the people in hopes of using it in future warfare as a deterrent to using deadly force.
