Dear kavithai,
Thanking you
Yours lovely,

THE SECRET BEHIND THE LOCKED DOOR
THE SECRET BEHIND THE LOCKED DOOR
Chapter 1: The Mysterious Letter
It was a cold Friday evening when Sophia arrived home from school. As she opened the front door, she noticed a small envelope lying on the floor.
There was no name on it.
Curiously, she picked it up and opened it.
Inside was a piece of paper with a strange message:
"If you want to know what happened ten years ago, visit the old mansion at midnight."
Sophia felt a chill run down her spine.
Ten years ago was when a young girl named Emily mysteriously disappeared. Nobody ever discovered what happened to her.
Sophia remembered the stories her grandmother used to tell about the abandoned mansion.
Suddenly, her phone vibrated.
An unknown number sent her another message:
"Don't trust your friends."
Sophia looked around the empty house.
Someone knew what she was doing.
And someone was trying to stop her.
Chapter 2: The Abandoned Mansion
At exactly 11:45 PM, Sophia met her three friends: Lucas, Mia, and Daniel.
"Are you sure we should do this?" Mia whispered.
"We came here to find answers," Sophia replied.
They slowly approached the mansion.
The front door was already open.
Inside, everything was covered in dust. Old photographs hung on the walls, and a broken clock stood in the hallway.
Then Daniel noticed something strange.
"Guys, look at this picture."
It was a photograph of Emily.
But standing beside her was someone they recognized.
Sophia's grandmother.
"That's impossible," Sophia whispered.
Suddenly, the mansion's door slammed shut.
And footsteps echoed from upstairs.
Chapter 3: The Hidden Room
The four friends searched the mansion for another exit.
Behind an old bookshelf, Lucas discovered a small door.
Inside was a room filled with newspaper articles, photographs, and handwritten letters.
Sophia found a diary.
As she opened the first page, she read:
"October 15. If anything happens to me, remember that my disappearance was not an accident."
Before she could read more, the lights went out.
Mia screamed.
Someone whispered behind them:
"You're not supposed to be here."
Chapter 4: The Betrayal
The friends ran toward the hallway.
But Daniel was missing.
"Where is Daniel?" Lucas shouted.
Sophia noticed a piece of paper on the floor.
It contained a message:
"One of your friends has been lying to you."
Suddenly, Daniel appeared at the top of the stairs.
His face was pale.
"I can explain everything," he said.
Sophia stepped backward.
"What do you know about Emily?"
Daniel lowered his head.
"Emily was my sister."
Everyone froze.
Chapter 5: The Truth
Daniel finally revealed that Emily had discovered a terrible family secret ten years ago.
She had found evidence that someone inside the mansion had stolen money from the town and blamed an innocent person.
Before she could expose the truth, she disappeared.
But Daniel had recently discovered that Emily might still be alive.
Sophia opened the final page of the diary.
There was a photograph.
It showed Emily standing beside a woman.
Sophia recognized the woman immediately.
It was her grandmother.
Then a voice came from behind them.
"Sophia?"
They turned around.
An old woman stood in the doorway.
It was Sophia's grandmother.
She looked at Sophia with tears in her eyes.
"There's something I've been hiding from you."
Chapter 6: The Final Secret
Sophia's grandmother slowly approached them.
"Emily never disappeared," she whispered. "I helped her escape because someone wanted to hurt her."
"Who?" Sophia asked.
Her grandmother pointed toward the staircase.
A shadow appeared.
Someone stepped into the light.
It was Lucas.
Sophia couldn't believe her eyes.
Lucas smiled.
"Now you finally understand."
He revealed that his family had been responsible for the events ten years ago. He had joined Sophia's investigation to find the evidence before she could reveal it.
But before he could take the diary, police sirens filled the night.
Daniel had secretly called the authorities.
Lucas tried to escape, but the police caught him.
The mystery of the mansion was finally solved.
Or so they thought.
As Sophia returned home, she found another envelope waiting outside her bedroom.
This time, the message was different:
"Emily was not the only one who disappeared."
Sophia slowly turned the envelope over.
There was a name written on the back.
HER OWN NAME.
THE END...
